Job Description:
Responsible to the Maintenance Manager for the efficient performance of the
personnel.
Duties &
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and
assist assigned personnel to accomplish maintenance functions in accordance
with CAMP in a safe and efficient manner.
- Responsible for
quality and quantity of all aircraft maintenance work assigned and ensure all
maintenance is performed IAW Colgan Air Maintenance Manuals and established
policies and procedures.
- Ensure the
adequacy, correctness and completion of all required documentation for all
worked performed and inspections conducted.
- Coordinate as
necessary with the Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Control, Inspection, or
Lead Mechanics on all work assignments, work progress, delays, and manpower
requirements.
- Ensure proper
shift turnover procedures for all work in-progress, completed, or carried
over.
- Ensure on-the-job
training in accomplished by utilizing the “Electronic” OJT File to promote and
monitor employee progress
- Ensure compliance
with company policies and safety procedures.
- Assume
responsibility for DMIs and MELs to ensure timely trouble-shooting, ordering
parts, and entry of information into CAMP to ensure timely completion of all
work scheduled.
- Assume
responsibility for tools at the assigned base and that all tools are properly
calibrated and serviceable at all times.
- Ensure personnel
are qualified and authorized to perform the duties
assigned.
- Maintain the work
areas, buildings, materials, equipment, and tooling in a safe, clean and
operative condition.
- Assume management
responsibility in connection with effectively recommending hiring and firing
of employees, along with promotion and disciplining employees by virtue of
recommendation and personnel evaluations.
- Maintain a current
FAA Airman Certificate with Airframe and Power Plant
rating
- Accomplish
performance evaluations of personnel as required.
- Monitor and manage
daily activity of component shop repair work orders (wheels, tires, NiCad
batteries, etc.)
- Perform other
tasks and duties as assigned by the Base Maintenance
Manager.
Qualifications:
- Must have A&P
License.
- Saab experience
and turbo prop experience.
- Would prefer 121
Supervisory experiences.
- Shift work,
weekends and holiday availability.
